Fruit Logistica is a specialist trade fair that takes place annually in Berlin, Germany. Celebrating the international fruit and vegetable trade and everything that is involved. Over fifty six thousand people pass through the space in only three days. Last year prompted by curiosity Wolfgang Tillmans visited the trade fair and driven by the spectacle of what he saw, he chose to document it all with his camera. After the event he let the pictures sit whilst gaining some distance to decided what was best to do and subsequently concluded the format of an artist book would suit best. Taking the format of his best selling book Concorde, Fruit Logistica is a small format paperback book containing sixty six pictures from that days manifestation.
